CZ 75 Compact
CZ 75 Compact is a semi-automatic pistols for self-defense, service, sport and hobby shooting. It represent one of the linchpins of CZ’s global success and worldwide popularity. We have been developing and manufacturing semi-automatic pistols for more than 60 years. And so, there are no secrets left for us to discover in this challenging field.
A team of product managers with extensive experience in the armed forces, together with the best sport shooters on the planet, are behind the success of these pistols. We have the world’s most advanced research and development facilities. And so utilize the latest cutting-edge production technologies.
The CZ 75 has more in common with the Petter pistols such as the French 1935 service pistol and the SIG P210. The high-capacity magazine was not unique to the Hi-Power by 1975. With the Smith & Wesson Model 59 and French PA 15 sporting a 15-round magazine. (The French pistol was similar to the Hi-Power, although the PA 15 used a rotating barrel. Like the Hi-Power the PA 15, was never adopted by the French military.)

The CZ 75 uses a double-action trigger bar that, unlike the Beretta 92’s Walther derived trigger bar, is internal. The CZ 75 has much to recommend on its own merits. It has mechanical advantages including excellent barrel-to-slide fit and quality manufacture.
The balance or heft is also good, and the pistol feels nice in the hand. The CZ 75 isn’t a small pistol. It is 8 inches long with a 4.7-inch barrel, and it weighs 2.2 pounds.

The CZ 75 is a product of the Czech Republic. It was designed when Czechoslovakia was under communist control, quite a unique accomplishment. The pistol was not widely adopted elsewhere by the Com Bloc, as the Makarov and Tokarev were cheap and readily available. Russian special units including Spetsnaz used the pistol. Brothers Joseph and Frantisek Koucky did a credible job designing the pistol.
The manual of arms of the original CZ 75 is interesting. (There are double-action-only and decocker versions to be discussed at another time). The pistol is sometimes called a selective double action. The CZ 75 is loaded and made ready in the same manner as most handguns of the day. The proper sequence is to lock the slide to the rear, insert a loaded magazine. Which then drop the slide, chambering a cartridge. The hammer is manually lowered by controlling the hammer as the trigger is pressed.
CZ 75 Pistol
There is a manual safety that, in the original configuration. And so, could not be applied when the hammer was down. With the hammer cocked, the safety may be applied. Some would feel that this configuration invites cocked and locked carry, hammer to the rear and the safety on. The intent of the design is to allow the pistol to be placed on Safe during tactical movement.
With the pistol carried hammer down and ready to fire with a double-action trigger press. The hammer is cocked by the slide after the first shot for single-action fire. For safe movement, many designs would demand the pistol be decocked. Resulting in the shooter having to execute the long double-action press or cock the hammer for accurate fire. The CZ 75 design allows the pistol to be quickly placed on Safe for tactical movement, then returned to single-action fire. It takes training and acclimation to master, but this is a good system.

The CZ 75 is often compared to the Browning Hi-Power. And the pistol was designed to compete on the world market with the Hi-Power, which was very popular at the time. The CZ 75 is at least as high in quality as the FN-produced handguns. (CZ 75 clones vary considerably in build quality, as may be expected).
The CZ 75 features a Browning-type lockup with an angled camming surface to allow the short-recoil tilting barrel to function properly. The ramped barrel has no feed issues with JHP ammunition. The tang is properly designed for comfortable firing. The CZ 75 grip is nearly as comfortable as the Hi-Power, with a slightly larger profile.
Trigger reach in the double-action mode is long, and some shooters will have to cant the pistol in the grip in order to address the CZ 75 trigger. This isn’t uncommon with double action first-shot pistols. In single action mode, no one should have a problem with the CZ 75. Part of the reason the CZ 75 is an accurate handgun is the slide rail design.
CZ 75 series
The slide runs inside the frame rather than the conventional arrangement of a slide on the frame rails. As a result, the slide rides low in the frame, yielding a low bore axis with less leverage for the muzzle to rise and better control in rapid-fire. The Browning-type magazine release allows rapid dropping and changing of the magazine. The controls are ergonomic, the sights are good examples of battle sights, and overall there is nothing to fault in the design. Buy CZ 75 compact online.

Was considering P01 Omega, seen the 75 D PCR and bought it. What a great discussion that was. Very comfortable grip fits like a glove. The round in the chamber indicator is a very cool addition and it is Not available on the P01. Shot with very little recoil or barrel rise. Light weight and this pistol has converted me from being a single stack EDC. The 15 round magazine does not feel bulky or cumbersome. Would recommend this as a must have.

Took me a very long time to purchase this PCR due to availability as ya’ll know already. Better than I expected! Worth the wait!!! Thanks Guys! Now I need AMMO!!!

Got what I ordered and it is great. However; your order to ship time is unacceptable. Much too slow!

Great gun. Carries well and comfortable. Great purchase for one handed shooting. It’s a CZ, so of course it works great and is reliable

Pistol arrived in 3 days . I have not picked it up yet from the ffl. The corrupt democrats that run Washington imposed a 2 week waiting period. With my concealed license I used to be able to take it home the same day it arrived. Inspected it briefly and it looked great. De cocker worked perfectly. Pistol has a beautiful finish. Came with 2 mags. I have purchased a number of firearms from buds. Always fast shipping and no problems. Will be buying from buds again

As a female many compact pistols recoil make them difficult to shoot. Well this will be my new carry gun. It’s more accurate and easier to handle than other brands I have tried. CZs are amazing.

This pistol is unbelievable, packed with features, feels great in hand, size is perfect for a defensive handgun, has everything I wanted and more.
I have known about the 75 series for years but always bought something else, usually poly guns. Handled the PCR recently and thought, WOW! I knew I had to have it but nobody near me could get it, and even if they could it was pretty high, so I looked it up on buds and saved $300!
Easy process, great service, great overall experience!
Thank you KGS!

This is a very comfortable, light weight, easy to shoot gun. Love it! It’s my new conceal carry gun.

so far so good. it doesn’t add much weight to the gun which is great because it weighs enough as it is. the real test will be time. the standard guide rod is plastic and starts to deform after a while. this is the reason i changed over to a steel guide rod. gun works flawlessly so far.
So helpful

Super fast shipping! Ordered on Wednesday arrived on Monday!! Buds does it well. The PCR has 250 rounds out first day with one malfunction that I blame on the Blazer 115 ammo! I only had a magazine of that leftover. It was problematic in other pistols also over the course of 1000 rounds. The extractor didn’t go over the case. I think the brass was to large for the chamber!! I’ll never buy Blazer again! Usually the shells would not extract in other pistols.Compact?? I don’t think so but fun to shoot and that’s why I bought it. It also has 15 round mags not 14 like advertised! Thanks KGS!

Perfect concealable pistol and best of everything, this is what real guns have to be made, I got what I payed for, I’m absolutely glad I got this awesome firearm, thanks KGS!

My first gun. I am very pleased with it. Feels great in my hand and shoots beautifully. Came with a 15 round magazine, not the 14 as advertised.
Todd Willis –
Disclosure – I have not fired the weapon yet.
Observations – Well built. Great fit and finish. Solid ergonomics. Sights…nothing to write home about. Looking forward to some range time.
KGS…typical, on top of their game.

This CZ is a nice gun, it is everything that it was suppose to be, light easy to hold and low recoil. I received it with 2-15 round mags which worked well. The first trigger pull is heavy and long just the way its suppose it’s be, with the rest easy and quick. I received it from my FFL within a week and overall the purchase was a great experience. Thanks, KGS!.

My CZ 75 Compact came with a plastic guide rod. Not sure why. Maybe it’s weight? Maybe it’s cost? Dunno.. but I’m sure the plastic guide rods are fine. In any event, I’m not comfortable with such a flexible device that is meant to control the semi-auto action of the slide and just personally feel more comfortable with a metal rod like those used in Sigs. The steel rod doesn’t add noticeably much to the weight of an already heavy gun but it sure adds a more solid feeling that it will do its job.
Thank you!

First of all, always great service from Bud’s
CZ is a great gun, great feel in your hand , very accurate. 5stars

One trip to the range and 150 flawless rounds later I love this handgun. The ergonomics are exceptional and it makes an average shooter like myself look good. Very accurate. The trigger is breaking in nicely. I did replace the rubber grips with some Cool Hand grips just to thin the grip a little. There was one tiny nick on the the front of the frame but it was easily concealed by a dap with a black Sharpie. I see replacing the factory sights with some aftermarket night sights in the future, but honestly the factory sights are functional and exceptionally accurate. KGS’s as always was awesome.

This is my ultimate EDC. Since I’ve had this gun I’ve had it cajunized (Cajungunworks). I had the CGW pro package and the Copperhead upgrade. I have over several thousand rounds through it and no major issues at all. I do like the decocker over a safety. DA or SA it shoots really well for me. This gun fits me very well. When I got this gun I started shooting 2×4 studs in half. Since then, I can shoot a stud in half at 10 yards with about 50 rounds. For me, this was my transition gun from a Glock 19 (Polymer) to a metal compact handgun. No doubt Glocks have its place in the handgun universe BUT CZ is definently in a world of its own. Buy this gun and shoot it often. Enjoy.

This pistol exceeded my highest expectations. It has the feel of a pistol costing 5 times its cost. It shoots as good as it looks. For a compact pistol it easily fits in your hand without an extended magazine. The service received from K G S was also outstanding. I received several e-mails detailing the shipping process and everything arrived on time in great shape. Their “extras” were also greatly appreciated.

Cz 75B one of the best 9mm pistols on the planet Very Reliable and accurate it doesn’t jam or fell To load it’s there when you need it

Ok, just got this beautiful CZ75 D PCR COMPACT from BUD’S and what a weapon it is! This is my first CZ and it won’t be my last. Beautiful finish and fit, no issues with the quality or any part.
After a good cleaning, took it to the range, very little recoil. The only other gun I’ve owned as accurate as this was my US ARMY Beretta. This
CZ75 COMPACT is a tack driver.
This is now my favorite gun, and I have had many, I will carry this everyday.
Once again BUD’s provided the EXCELLANT service expected from them, after purchasing a dozen guns from Buds they have never failed me!
If you don’t have a CZ I suggest you get one ASAP!
You will love CZ’s!

Will definitely buy from Kirk Guns Shop again. I called with questions and spoke with an actual person (John). Patient, knowledgeable and professional, all of my questions were answered, with super-fast shipping and all paperwork in order. ffl transfer took 5 minutes. Thanks K. G. S!.

Pistol came as advertised with two 15 round mags and the other usual stuff that CZ is known for. Pistol shoots great and recoil impulse is lower with that bore axis. It’s my new carry piece and I feel much safer knowing that it I’m not carrying it in condition 1 like I did with my S&W Shield 9mm. As always, Bud’s shipped very fast, despite being during Christmas and New Year’s. Overall, very very pleased with my purchase.
Mr. Hardpressed –
I purchased this to make holsters with. It is perfect duplicate/replica/ dummy gun with accessory rail for lights, etc. As for action, we loaded it with CO2 and it ran great. The complaint is you have to keep up with a screw driver to tighten the CO2 bottle down. I am not use to playing with these guns and keeping up with the driver will be a hassle. But the pistol is straight shooting and strong. Pitty the unsuspecting squirrel in our back yard that gets shot! Fun Gun and exact duplicate.

Awesome pistol, fits hand nicely, no jams with various ammo types and very good quality. Would highly recommend for EDC.

I have quite a few 9mm’s (recent purchases), this is by far my favorite, it’s almost half a pound lighter than my CZ75 Compact (my second favorite). I shoot sometimes 2,000 rounds a week just for fun. Niether has ever missed a beat. Quality gun at a great prices, and Kirk Guns treated me right.
James B –
I gotta hand it to Buds , they delivered as promised. My little CZ PCR is a beautiful firearm. Just one problem..There ain’t no 9mm ammo to be had anywhere. So all I can do is just drool till better times come. My gun is tight and finished perfectly. But for now, I can only say bang bang!
